Big weekend news from me, Baukjen
Hello, I hope this message finds you safe and well. 2020 has been such a difficult year for so many people. The thing I have taken most comfort from this year is seeing how many kind people there are around. Black Friday weekend is coming up this week and while we have participated in recent years, we decided a few months ago that it didn’t feel right this year. Instead we will be focussing on being kind, especially when so many are having challenging times. For the Black Friday weekend (Friday 27th November - Monday 30th November) we will not be doing deep discounting. Instead we will be donating 100% of our profits to 4 different charities close to our hearts.
On Friday 27th November, all profits will be donated to Centrepoint . This charity is important to us as they focus on youth homelessness which has unfortunately increased significantly during the pandemic.
On Saturday 28th November, we’ve chosen for all profits to be donated to The Trussell Trust . This charity works to end the need for food banks in the UK. We don’t want people to go hungry, especially during this pandemic.
On Sunday 29th November we will be donating all of our profits to national suicide prevention charity for under 35s, PAPYRUS . This is something close to our hearts as so many young people are facing many challenges right now.
And finally, on Monday 30th November we’ll be donating all profits to The Prince’s Trust who help the young build skills and confidence to find employment. This is now more important than ever.
Each day we will send out an email to remind you which charity the profits will go to that day. I will include some of my favourite pieces with the hope that this will raise as much profit as possible for each charity. Please treat yourself and, or buy Christmas presents for loved ones this weekend.
