Spring is officially here, but this often poses problems with seasonal dressing. Our Founder Baukjen has however come to the rescue with some helpful tips on spring style, which she has shared with other industry experts on iVillageUK.

Baukjen shares her fashion wisdom and advices “Never follow the crowd, wear the things that work for you and that you feel comfortable and confident in. Have fun experimenting with layering, that way you can really enjoy taking your favourite pieces from season to season.”

Hi, Baukjen here. After many months of work, I’m so proud to announce the launch of the Isabella Oliver World – the global destination for Pregnancy in Style. It’s been a real labour of love. I hope you’ll enjoy it and come back to it time and time again to get inspiration for dressing and feeling confident about your style during your pregnancy.

In the Isabella Oliver World, we share everything we’ve learnt from our own pregnancies and nine years of dressing pregnant women around the world. I wanted women everywhere to be able to get inspiration for dressing during the most beautiful time of their lives. We’ll keep updating it so please do pop by once in a while. Enjoy!

Isabella Oliver Founders Win Top Accolade in Online Fashion 100

The list for 2012’s Online Top Fashion 100 was unveiled today and to our delight, Baukjen and Geoff won the Top family unit with 47 per cent of the vote. The award is voted for by the public, which makes the accolade even more special.

Baukjen and Geoff were also voted as the 31^st most influential names and faces from the digital fashion world.

This is very exciting news as we round off the year and we are very pleased and grateful for all the votes.

Cabana Restaurant Launch Party

Hi,

This week we went to the launch party of a friend’s new Brazilian restaurant called Cabana here in London. The decor is great and the food is fantastic! We ate dishes such as Spicy Tiger Prawns (my favourite), Chilli and Cumin Lamb, Pork and Papaya Sausages. Just writing this makes me hungry again, it was really tasty. We drank delicious caipirinhas and all agreed we would be coming back soon. If you’re in central London anytime soon, go for lunch or dinner – it’s worth it. Good luck David, Jamie and the Cabana team

New Stylish Mum website StyleNest launched on Friday and featured some great pieces from Isabella Oliver and a fabulous interview with our very own founder, Baukjen. The website chose to feature the Isabella Oliver 365 Pea Coat and Satin Detail City Coat in their fashion round-ups, along with the Ruched Breton Button Dress in their pick of the best Maternity Dresses, as well as running a 5 minutes with… interview with Baukjen.

Girls Weekend

Last weekend Geoff and our boys went camping together. As Pippa and I weren’t invited, we decided to have a Girls weekend together. I booked a gorgeously cosy room in Dean Street Townhouse (http://www.deanstreettownhouse.com/). Before we left home, I painted our nails orange (Marina of the Isabella Oliver team had kindly bought me a bright orange nail varnish that I had been admiring her wearing last week – thank you Marina x). We hopped in to a cab and headed off to the hotel to put our bags in the room and head out. We walked around Carnaby Street, Neals Yard etc (I put my hands over Pippa’s eyes when we walked past Agent Provocateur’s window display!). I restocked on MAC make up products (love that shop, could buy everything) and when we passed the Hummingbird Bakery, (http://hummingbirdbakery.com) Pippa chose a cupcake – pink of course. When we got back to the hotel, Pippa enjoyed hot chocolate in the bath that stood in our room. Then it was time to get dressed up and go for dinner in the Dean Street Townhouse Restaurant. A glass of milk for her and a glass of red wine for me. Afterwards we were off to bed and the next morning we had breakfast in bed while watching some films. The staff at Dean Street Townhouse very kindly let us check out late. The only sad face that weekend was when I told Pippa that we really couldn’t stay another day… It was a perfect weekend together. Thank you to everyone at Dean Street Townhouse for spoiling us and making the weekend extra special!
