Maternity Must-Have: The Tie Front Shirt

I’ve been talking about my favourite looks a lot recently (specifically in my collaboration with Isabella Oliver), but there is yet another one to add to this list: Jeans, white shirt, and heels. Of course the latter (the big heels and being pregnant issue) is, as I’ve said many times before, is not always an option anymore, especially when you have to walk any sizable distance. I personally cannot walk for longer than 30 minutes on heels, or I will definitely suffer the rest of the day. Complete regret sets in. To get around this issue, I will carry a pair of flats in my bag (or someone else’s bag in this case). I guess quite a few of us do this routine daily anyway (even when not pregnant!).

I would normally wear a white shirt in a boyfriend cut (wide and a bit oversized), which is perfect when pregnant, but only if a little detail is added to the waist. Like a waistband. This makes it much more flattering than wearing a masculine oversized version, plus, it stays in place all day, and is very comfortable. However, when there is detail added to the waist, I tend to find it a little tricky to wear, which gives me the urge to edge it up a bit. The distressed look of the jeans and the chunky heel did this for me. However, if you like to wear the white shirt in a more elegant way, you can wear your skinny jeans with it, without the ripped details, and a more feminine heel. Both have you looking stunning!
