That’s my motto for this autumn/winter. My wardrobe absolutely lacks good knits, and my preference? Oversized and/or chunky. They look amazing worn simply as a jumper, but if you wish – knits also look great when worn as a dress. How to wear your knit-dress? Try wearing with 60 denier tights, ankle boots and a cocoon coat, and you’ll be ready to face winter at its best. Today however, I styled this oversized knit not as a dress, but as a jumper, with ripped jeans (one of my wardrobe staples), elegant heels, and a coat draped over the shoulders. I love this kind of look, and now I’m at the end of my pregnancy, it also wears so well. The most comfortable thing to wear I would almost say, but then again, all the looks I’ve styled for Isabella Oliver are very comfortable.
The colour of this jumper works very well if your wardrobe doesn’t consist of many bright colours, and has more of a earth-tone vibe: greys, blues, black, and white. I’ve always loved women who wear bright colours (when they wear them right, complementing their skin tone) but for me it just doesn’t work. It’s a rare thing to see me wear pink or yellow. Maybe on holidays, but my daily attire (which I feel most comfortable in) is like this look today: jeans, greys, black and blue. It just works best with my hair and skin I think.
Last but not least, what is so good about this jumper is that the turtleneck has the right size/chunkyness to be worn unrolled. I can tuck my hair in it, and roll it all the way up to over my chin, which makes it so nice and warm…
Winter, I can handle you with my bare hands, I just have to make sure to wear this jumper!
