After work last night, we headed down to the house of my friend, Alice Instone, and her husband. She is a fantastic artist whose paintings we love. Recently she painted Vanessa and last night it was my turn to sit for her. She's painting for an exhibition she is doing in 2010 and it was a feast for the eyes to see all the paintings she is working on. While the husbands cooked in the kitchen, Alice and I were in her studio where she painted. After, we had dinner together. It was a lovely evening and while I originally felt a bit unsure how well I'd do at sitting still, i really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see her exhibition next year.
