It is now over five years ago that we were both pregnant for the first time. We were on a mini break with our husbands at Babington House in the English countryside when we met by the pool and quickly became friends. Back in London we would meet for lunch and came up with the idea to launch a maternity collection together. Weeks later Vanessa had a daughter, Isabella, and Baukjen a son, Oliver. As the inspiration for our business venture we felt it only right to name the company after them. Around the time of their first birthdays Isabella Oliver was launched.

Since then we've had three more children between us, Vanessa with Piers and Baukjen with Sebastian and Pippa. And as our families have grown, so has the business. In fact, in February this year we are launching the 365 collection, our first collection for non-pregnant women. We had so many requests from past maternity wear customers that we just had to do something about it. Plus we like wearing the clothes we design ourselves too.

We love designing clothes for women. In our experience, pregnancy is a very special time and we're delighted that we can play a part in helping a woman to look and feel chic and stylish during her pregnancy.

We are extremely grateful to all our customers who have spread the word and emailed us with feedback. We're passionate about giving our customers what they want and we hope it shows.
