We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced, talented and established in-house Head of PR, to build upon and further develop our womenswear and maternity wear brands across multi channels, both online and offline. You’ll be responsible for developing the global PR strategy, building and securing our media relations and managing a small in-house team and PR agency. This role will suit someone who has in-house as well as agency PR experience in fashion.
Reporting to the Creative Director you will be managing a PR Executive and agencies globally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a forward thinking approach to join a successful and growing fashion business.
- Devise and implement long term PR strategies and programmes that support and build upon the brands' global business objectives
- Build upon the Isabella Oliver brand to ensure it maintains its position as the leading global maternity brand
- Continue to build the Baukjen brand to establish it as a strong UK womenswear fashion brand. While focus is initially in the UK, this will be followed by the US and other geographies as and when the business grows
- Manage all global PR, with initial focus on the UK and US
- Manage, motivate and develop the in-house PR team and manage external PR agencies to develop localised PR strategies that complement the overall PR strategy
- Recruit and manage international and in-house PR teams as the business expands
- Manage relationships with our external PR agencies
- Manage the PR budget and report on effectiveness of PR activity against ROI
- Incorporate an annual schedule of PR activity to ensure the activities of the in-house team and agencies are aligned
- Strengthen relationships with key media in the priority markets
- Implement best practice within the PR department, setting up appropriate systems and reporting to meet the needs of the business
- Review and build upon the PR database to ensure it covers the requirements of the business
- Oversee the production and distribution of all PR materials
- Oversee any PR events, gifting and third party events
- Manage celebrity collaborations as and when they occur
- Manage the corporate PR of the business
- Identify and implement PR opportunities to further promote the brands
- Ensure all media coverage is collated and analysed
- Write and edit in-house and corporate publications, case studies, speeches and articles
- Manage any PR related content across both brands
- Support the brands social media activities including the PR twitter accounts
The Candidate:
- +7 years PR experience
- Fashion PR industry experience, ideally both in-house and agency side
- In depth knowledge of the fashion media
- Experience in managing people, agencies and budgets
- Experience working with social media
- Track record in creating and delivering PR campaigns
- Strong network within the fashion media
- Experience in US PR would be an asset
