Fashion Copywriter

A leading fashion company based in North West London is looking for an energetic, fashion loving copywriter to work on their womenswear and maternity wear brands across multi channels, both online and offline. Reporting into the Head of Brand, this is an exciting opportunity to join this highly successful and fast growing business.

About the role

The fashion copywriter is responsible for all customer communications and corporate copy, across both brands both online and offline. This entails managing the creative process from copy creation, through to editing and proof reading.

Main responsibilities include:

• Writing copy for all customer communications materials including:
  • - E-comm site – all product copy, customer information pages
  • - Editorial online sites – Baukjen’s World and Isabella Oliver World
  • - Catalogues - Style Guides (including product details), Art of Pregnancy Style book, mailing letters
  • - Marketing online - weekly and auto emails and homepages, affiliates
  • - Marketing offline – advertisements, reader offers
  • - PR support - Look Books
  • - Wholesale – brochures, advertisements
• Writing copy as and when needed for corporate requirements
• To ensure all copy is proofed and approved prior to go live
• Writing all copy supporting social media activities - facebook, blog, twitter, pinterest across both brands
• Supporting the social media team and uploading content where necessary
• Ensuring all copy online is SEO friendly, without compromising the creative intent
• Ensuring all copy, on and offline is up to date and accurate at all times. Includes the management of the company’s copy library
• Delivery and management of the Style Bible (to be updated with new collection drops) - our core copy platform for all product information

The Person and key skills required:

• Experienced copywriter within the fashion industry
• Experience of working at a magazine in the editorial team
• Excellent command of the English language
• Ability to work within a team and autonomously
• Experience of working in a busy workplace with tight deadlines
• Having a passion for fashion
