International Night at Isabella Oliver HQ

Main Course

Isabella Oliver HQ is made up of an array of wonderful people from all over the world, and to celebrate our diversity we decided to cook a dish from our respective origins and eat together one night after work.

In the days leading up to International Night people in the office were jotting down their shopping lists and comparing notes on who was making what. Thankfully my decision was fairly simple, I was going to make one of my favourite Polish soups, Grochowka. I decided to refrain from adding in the usual amount of chillies though, I am fully aware that my recipe can be an acquired taste!

Everyone made a huge effort (see the pictures below) and the menu consisted of a whole range of foods including: Thai green curry, Japanese rice balls, samosas, French cheese and Jamaican chicken wings. And that was just the first course! We were feeling pretty full and we still had a selection of delicious desserts to work our way through including: a homemade apple pie brought in by Baukjen and Geoff, bread and butter pudding and Welsh pancakes.

Let’s just say that the evening was a success and we are still enjoying the leftovers!
