Hi, Baukjen here. Recently we were invited for dinner by friends at their home. All I can say is that we can’t have them for dinner at ours! When we arrived, the house was full of lit candles (love!). We enjoyed cocktails and canapés and after a while we went to the kitchen where all was revealed. It was made extra special that so many friends and family flew in from around the world and we spent quite a bit of the weekend together, not just at the party. Hi, Baukjen here. Last weekend we were invited to a fabulous party in Holland for my cousin’s birthday. We decided to take half a day on Friday and first go to Bruges in Belgium for a mini weekend and then on to the party Saturday evening. I absolutely love it and can’t wait to start using it. The photos give a good idea but don’t do it justice. It was Baukjen’s birthday at the weekend and from her blog post it sounds like she had a really lovely day. The table was beautifully laid, lots of candles were lit, the fireplace was on and we had lovely food. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We were awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise earlier this year, which is a fabulous recognition of what we do here at Isabella Oliver. Winners of the awards are invited to a celebratory reception by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace – and Baukjen was extremely excited to receive her invite this week.
