I love a dress, especially in summer – they are the easy, no thought needed, throw on item. So i know the Cameron Cargo Dress is going to become a firm favourite. I love the Khaki hue and the simple pockets give a slight nod to the military trend. The easiest way to turn it from day to night or from smart to casual is with gold, tan and safari inspired pieces.

Styling tip
This dress is such a simple shape and style that it’s the perfect canvas for accessories. Change things up with a different belt – I love something studded or woven and I then add texture through a straw clutch, pony print sandals or a vintage crocodile clutch.

The perfect summer cover up. Introducing the Jodie Trench

I think the Jodie Trench is possibly my favourite piece in the whole Baukjen collection. It’s quite innocuous on first appearance but once I started wearing it, I couldn’t stop. It has to win the prize for the perfect light weight summer cover up. Chunky knit cardigans may be my choice during the winter but what to wear once things become a little warmer? I normally opt for an army style cargo jacket but it can often be too casual. This light weight trench has a great draped shape, I love the pop of cobalt blue, its super soft and works over everything from a simple pair of leather leggings for a chicer city look and again over my boyfriend jeans for a more relaxed feel.
Top tip
I love the cobalt colour, use this as the main bold colour and then mix with cooler simpler shades such as grey, black, navy or even chocolate – but stay away from mixing with other brights.

Styling tip
The Jodie trench comes with a matching fabric belt, perfect for cinching in the waist when wearing over a chic shift dress for work or a special occasion outfit, but stay away from belting over trousers, it can add inches to the hips and the looser draped silhouette worn over pants simply looks more modern.

All Buttoned Up With The Ashley Shirt Dress

I love how versatile the Ashley Shirt Dress is. It can be worn in a casual way, buttoned up and elegant, or relaxed and effortless. For an everyday summer feel I love mixing tan accessories with the navy striped cotton. I’ve added a leather tie belt, boots (although I will wear Grecian sandals once warmer weather hits) and a casual boho bag.

Popping into town for a meeting I buttoned it up, lost the tie belt and put on a structured jacket and heels.
I love adding a pop of colour to give this look a lift.

I love that the hem is rounded and long at the back, making sure that even when I belt it, it’s not too short!

Slouchy Sweater Days With The Sienna Jumper Dress

I’m a huge fan of the sweater dress – they’re perfect for days when comfort is key but you still need to look ‘put together’. I have so many winter versions, but this Sienna Jumper Dress is perfect for that tricky trans-seasonal dressing. It’s made from light weight cotton and has a boat neckline which can be worn off the shoulder.

I’m wearing it here on my Red magazine’s May cover shoot with a pair of knee high boots and camouflage print scarf to keep things simple. (I often layer a shirt underneath or add a pair of leggings if its chilly). When things get a bit warmer I will team with a pair of cork wedges and some pretty beads.

Tip: the shape and colour are very simple so the Sienna Dress makes the perfect piece to layer accessories; a bold scarf, bag or even shoes.

Style Stop! Florals Are Big News This Spring

Florals are a huge trend for spring and this season, its light and whimsical style has been inspired by everyone from Erdem to Chanel and Dior.

I love the simplicity of this jersey long line Amber Print Pencil Skirt and its riot of colour. It works so many ways!

I’ve kept things simple with just a tee and played with textures; opting for denim with a dash of neon – still a big trend for next season. I’ve added more colour still, with my slouchy knit (I love contrasting skinny pieces with voluminous shapes).

Style tip: Keep shoes light and dainty with a long line skirt.
